Darren Randolph is of the opinion that West Ham United can take confidence from their positive results against Liverpool this season, ahead of his side’s meeting with the Reds in an FA Cup replay tonight.

It will be the fourth time the Hammers will be squaring up against Liverpool in the present campaign, with the Merseyside giants yet to register a victory in the fixture.

In addition to recording a memorable double over Liverpool in the Premier League, Slaven Bilic’s team held the Reds to a goalless draw in the original FA Cup tie at Anfield in late January.

And Randolph, who is relishing the prospect of facing Liverpool in a cup competition at Upton Park, feels West Ham can go far in the FA Cup if they manage to get past Jurgen Klopp’s side.

“I hope we can get the job finished on Tuesday night”, he told the club’s official site.

“We have to fancy ourselves as we are playing at home and we can take confidence from the performances and results we have had against them in the past.

“In the days leading up to the game it gets mentioned that it could be the last every cup game at the Boleyn Ground so it makes it special and the fact that we are playing Liverpool makes it even more special.

“If we can get past Liverpool, we would fancy ourselves again if we play Blackburn to progress even further in the competition.

“We put out a strong team and hopefully we will get a good result against Liverpool.”

Randolph, who put in a man of the match performance against Liverpool in the original FA Cup tie, also featured in the 3-0 win at Anfield in the league in August.
