FC Midtjylland’s 18-year-old midfielder Mikkel Duelund believes his side have a crazy opportunity to make history by beating Manchester United in their Europa League Round of 32 encounter.

The Danish outfit secured a place in the knockout round of the Europa League after progressing as second placed team in Group D, behind Serie A leaders Napoli.

The 18-year-old midfielder’s stock has risen since the start of the season and Duelund has made 14 appearances for Midtjylland’s first team this term, scoring six goals and assisting another three.

Deulund has represented Denmark at almost all youth levels from the Under-16s to the Under-20s and was subject to a bid by Premier League giants Liverpool last summer, but the 18-year-old rejected the chance to move to Anfield.

The 18-year-old is confident that Jess Thorup’s side have the players to beat Manchester United at home and Duelund is already dreaming of the headlines.
