New Leeds United signing Toumani Diagouraga has been left shocked after being refused permission to view a property.

The powerful French midfielder joined Leeds on a permanent deal from fellow Championship side Brentford in the recently concluded winter transfer window.

He has already scored for his new employers and has been lauded by Whites boss Steve Evans, who is confident the 28-year-old will be a key man at Elland Road.

But settling down off the pitch is proving a little more difficult than settling down on it for Diagouraga.

The midfielder is currently house hunting as he looks to establish a base for himself and his family.

But he has been refused permission to view one house of interest as the landlord does not want footballers in the property.

Diagouraga, shocked, wrote on Twitter: "Just been told I can't view a property coz the landlord doesn't want footballers in there….wow!! [sic]"

The midfielder, who Leeds beat off competition from Rangers to sign, will now have to switch his attention elsewhere, but Whites fans will be hoping he can quickly find a property as it would be sure to speed up his settling in period in Yorkshire.
