Rangers boss Mark Warburton has expressed his delight at the prospect of welcoming new boys Michael O’Halloran and Billy King back to his team for the match against Alloa.

The Championship league leaders brought in both players this January with O'Halloran arriving from Scottish Premiership side St Johnstone on a four-year contract while King arrived from Hearts on a loan deal.

The two players were introduced to the first team scene immediately with King having played against Falkirk late in January and O'Halloran playing against Raith Rovers.

However, both players were unavailable for the Gers' last match in the Scottish Cup against Kilmarnock as they were cup-tied.

There will be no such restrictions this time though with both players being eligible to play in the Championship and Warburton will be eager to make full use of both the players for their match against rock bottom side Alloa.

Speaking to his club's official channel on the issue of whether he will include the players in his plans, the manager stated: “Very much so.

“They were frustrated not to be involved in the cup game obviously, but they have adapted well to the squad, they are settling in well and getting used to Murray Park now.

“They showed their quality in training this morning again, so delighted to have them on board.”
