West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has revealed that both Manuel Lanzini and Diafra Sakho are close to returning to training.

While Lanzini has been sidelined since picking up a thigh injury in the 2-0 Premier League win over Liverpool on 2nd January, Sakho too has been out of action with a thigh problem since late November.

And Bilic insisted that Lanzini will start training from Sunday with Sakho rejoining training five days later.

"On Sunday Lanzini will start training with the team again, which is a big boost for us. Sakho will be back maybe five days after”, he said in his pre-Norwich press conference.

Bilic then added that defenders Winston Reid and Joey O'Brien will undergo scans today to determine the extent of their hamstring injuries.

"Winston Reid and Joey O'Brien have hamstring injuries. They'll have scans today", he continued.

The Croatian then went on to say that he expects James Tomkins to be out for five weeks after the centre-back injured his calf during the 1-0 loss to Southampton in the Premier League last weekend.

"James Tomkins is out for five weeks after the Southampton game so that's three defenders out. I think the knocks will be ok", he added.

West Ham, who will face relegation-threatened Norwich City on Saturday, are currently sixth in the Premier League with 39 points from 25 games.
