Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that the club won’t change their style of football when they face Manchester City this Sunday.

The north London side are on a fantastic winning run at the moment, and their performances in the league over the last month have helped them to surge up to second in the league table, with many calling them credible title contenders.

However, Spurs’ status as title contenders is expected to come under a severe pressure when they visit the Etihad this weekend to take on Manchester City, who are still smarting from their defeat to Leicester City at home last Saturday.

The home side will be out to prove that they are still one of the top contenders to lift the league title in May, and will be hoping to punch a hole in Spurs’ new found confidence.

Sunday could turn out be a seminal moment for Tottenham’s season, but Pochettino insisted that despite the importance of the game, his team won’t change their style of football just because they are facing Manchester City.

When asked by a fan whether Tottenham will stick to their principals even against Manchester City, the Argentine told Spurs TV: “I think we cannot change our style, our philosophy.

“I think it is important in football to be always positive and believe, and I think this is the key as we play under our philosophy.”
