Celtic legend Tom Boyd feels that striker Leigh Griffiths is currently in the best goalscoring form of his career.

Griffiths scored his 30th goal of the season on Saturday in Celtic's 2-0 home win over Ross County in the Scottish Premiership, putting daylight between Ronny Deila's team and Aberdeen.

Boyd thinks that Griffiths can push on to the 40-goal mark in the current campaign and is currently at the most clinical he has ever been.

Speaking on Celtic TV, Boyd was asked about the 40-goal mark for Griffiths and said: "On his current form you wouldn't think that is too far off either.

"He is possibly on the best scoring run of his career", the former defender added.
