Celtic manager Ronny Deila admits he is excited about his side managing to beat Ross County 2-0 at Celtic Park today.

The Bhoys went into the Premiership fixture looking for revenge after Ross County put them out of the League Cup at the semi-final stage recently.

Celtic were also under pressure in the league with Aberdeen having drawn level on points, making taking the full spoils essential.

And on the stroke of half time Leigh Griffiths scored his 30th goal of the season, volleying into the back of the net. It was making amends for the striker, who had earlier hit the post.

The victory was sealed in the 57th minute when Dedryck Boyata got on the end of a cross from Stuart Armstrong to direct a header into the back of the net.

It was a comfortable 2-0 win for the Bhoys and now puts them three points ahead of Aberdeen, who play on Monday. And Deila is pleased with the victory.

He told BBC Radio Scotland: "The boys worked really hard and we created a lot of chances, although the passing could have been better.

"But it was good to get the three points and we will kick on from this.

"We are not thinking of Aberdeen, but we are very excited to get this win at Celtic Park", the Norwegian added.
