Fixture: Sunderland vs Manchester United
Competition: Premier League
Kick-off: 12:45 (UK time)

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has announced his playing eleven and substitutes that will take on Sunderland in a Premier League fixture at the Stadium of Light later this afternoon.

The Dutchman has decided against making too many changes to his side from last Sunday when they earned just a point at Chelsea, despite dominating large parts of the game. Performances over the last few weeks have seen an upturn, and other than Morgan Schneiderlin replacing Marouane Fellaini in the eleven, the team has remained unchanged.

The defence remains untouched and Michael Carrick and Schneiderlin will form the midfield base for the team. Wayne Rooney will lead the line with Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata and Anthony Martial playing behind the Manchester United captain to complete the attack. Under-21 striker Will Keane has found a place on the bench alongside Memphis Depay, Ander Herrera and Andreas Pereira.

Manchester United are six points off the pace from the top four race and are aware that any slip up at Sunderland today could prove to be fatal for their hopes of playing Champions League football next season.
