Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher thinks if Mauricio Pochettino can lead Tottenham Hotspur to the Premier League title this season then it will be the best managerial achievement the league has seen.

Pochettino's men underlined their title credentials earlier today by going to the Etihad Stadium and defeating Manchester City 2-1.

The pressure had been on Spurs to respond after north London rivals Arsenal beat Leicester 2-1 earlier in the day.

And with goals from Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen, Spurs did not let Pochettino down, stunning the Citizens.

Carragher noted that Pochettino has made a profit for Spurs through his transfer market dealings, while at the same time turning the team into title contenders.

"If he goes on to win the league I think that will be the best managerial performance in the Premier League", he added.

Spurs have won their last seven games in all competitions and are hitting red hot form at a vital point of the season.
