Rangers bound Josh Windass has revealed he has had an operation on his hernia.

The Accrington Stanley midfielder will join Rangers in the summer after signing a pre-contractual agreement with the Scottish giants earlier this year.

Windass has been in fine form for the League Two outfit, but recently suffered an injury and Accrington confirmed that their star needed a double hernia operation.

And Windass has now gone under the knife, revealing via Twitter: "Operation done , not feeling great now but be back on my feet tomorrow. Can't wait to be back."

He also wished Accrington well in their game against Crawley Town, which finished 4-1 to Stanley, a match which had an astonishing three red cards in it.
