Arsenal have officially confirmed their starting eleven and substitutes to take on Leicester City in a Premier League fixture at the Emirates Stadium this afternoon.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, whose side head into the game sitting in third spot in the table and five points behind Claudio Ranieri's Foxes, goes with experienced defender Per Mertesacker at the back and the German will pair up with Laurent Koscielny in the heart of defence. Francis Coquelin will look to protect the back four, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is handed a start.

Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud will look to cause the Leicester backline problems, while Wenger has Danny Welbeck and Theo Walcott on the bench if he needs to throw on further strikers.

Arsenal go into the match on the back of a 2-0 win away at Bournemouth and also knowing the last time they met Leicester, at the King Power Stadium, they ran out comprehensive 5-2 winners.
