Harry Kane has hailed Tottenham Hotspur's 2-1 win away at Manchester City today, admitting it is a "good feeling" for the White Hart Lane outfit.

The first half was largely played in the middle of the pitch, with each side doing their best not to lose ground to the other and chances at a premium.

But things quickly changed in the second half when the referee awarded a controversial penalty to Spurs in the 52nd minute, Raheem Sterling being judged to have handballed in the box from a Danny Rose cross.

Up stepped Kane to take and he made no mistake, drilling it down the centre of the goal.

Manchester City began to apply pressure though and drew level in the 73rd minute when Kelechi Iheanacho was left unmarked in the box and, when found by Gael Clichy, swept the ball into the back of the net.

But Spurs would not lie down and pulled ahead again in the 83rd minute when Erik Lamela slipped the ball through to Christian Eriksen, who made no mistake.

It ended 2-1 and Kane was delighted, telling Sky Sports: "It was a very big game, away from home, Manchester City, top team, everyone is fighting for places. To come away with a 2-1 victory is a good feeling.

"We can't get too carried away, but it's a very good away win."

Kane was asked about the penalty, which he appealed for, and admitted he does not know whether the handball was inside or outside the box.

"Danny put the ball in and I saw it hit his hand", Kane said.

"I think the ref wasn't too sure whether it was inside or outside. I couldn't really see, but of course I was going to claim it."
