Leeds United academy manager Paul Hart has lauded Casper Sloth’s attitude in difficult circumstances.

The attacking midfielder, who is yet to make a senior appearance for Leeds in the current campaign, started an Under-21 Professional Development League 2 game against Hull City on Monday, a fixture the Whites lost 3-1.

Sloth has been regularly featuring for Leeds Under-21s this season after failing to find his spot in first team football at Elland Road.

And Hart, who has been pleased with Sloth’s performance for the development squad, praised the 23-year-old’s attitude and willingness to give his all for the Under-21s despite being a senior player and a Denmark international.

“I have been particularly pleased with Casper”, he said on LUTV, after the loss against Hull.

“He has been playing for us for ages. His attitude to the game has been exemplary.

“I’m not criticising Casper for one minute.”

Sloth, who joined Leeds on a three-year deal from Danish outfit AGF in 2014, has thus far made 14 appearances in all competitions for the Yorkshire giants.

He has nine caps for Denmark to his name and has also represented the Scandinavian nation at various youth levels.

The midfielder looks likely to leave Elland Road in the summer.
