Celtic manager Ronny Deila is confident that Nir Bitton will remain at Paradise for many years to come, pointing to the midfielder signing a new contract as proof of his commitment.

Bitton has regularly been linked with a move south of the border to the Premier League, Arsenal one of the clubs mooted as being keen, but did put pen to paper on a new contract, running until 2020, at the end of last year.

He made his 100th appearance for Celtic in a 2-1 away win at Partick Thistle at the weekend and clocked up all 90 minutes in the game.

Deila rates Bitton as a vital player for Celtic and is confident that given him signing a new contract, there are many more appearances in a Hoops shirt to come from the Israeli.

"He's going to stay here, he signed a new contract", Deila said on Celtic TV.
