Jose Mourinho is planning to bring four Inter Milan players to Manchester United this summer should he become their manager, it has been claimed.

The Portuguese, who has been out of work since losing the Chelsea job in December, has been widely tipped to replace Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford at the end of the season, with many believing the deal is all but done.

There are suggestions that Mourinho is already scouting players across Europe as he prepares to overhaul the Manchester United squad, and it seems he could be buying the most from one of his former clubs.

According to Italian daily Tuttosport, the Portuguese has planned a raid of his former club Inter for Manchester United and wants to take Samir Handanovic, Miranda, Jeison Murillo and Mauro Icardi to Old Trafford in the summer.

The Nerazzurri are said to be aware of Mourinho’s plans, and want Juan Mata to move in the other direction, something the Portuguese is not expected to oppose as he sold the Spaniard to Manchester United when he was Chelsea manager.

With Van Gaal potentially in his last days as Manchester United manager, the club and Mourinho seem to be already planning for the season ahead, as they look to bounce back from a disappointing campaign.
