West Ham are unwilling to offer more than €25m for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, who has also been linked with a move to Arsenal in the past.

The 24-year-old French striker’s future has been a topic of discussion since last summer, with a number of top English clubs such as Arsenal interested in taking him to the Premier League.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas is aware of the widespread interest in the player, especially from England, and is hoping to pocket a sum of around €40m, if he is forced to sell the striker at the end of the season.

West Ham are also one of the English clubs keeping a close watch on Lacazette, but according to French outlet Buzz Sport, the club are not willing to offer more than €25m for the forward.

The Hammers have been keeping a close eye on the Frenchman for months, but are not willing to pay over the odds to get their man.

On the other hand, Aulas is unlikely to sell his star striker for anything less than the €30m mark, and is confident that he will get the desired price once the summer transfer window rolls out.

Lacazette is also said to be aware of the interest from English clubs, and it has been suggested that he is willing to take up a new challenge.

He has scored 47 goals in all competitions over the course of the last two seasons, and has a contract until 2019 with Lyon.
