Michel Vorm has insisted that his Tottenham Hotspur team-mates’ performances for England in the recent friendlies is a positive for both the club and country.

The Three Lions, who lost 2-1 to the Netherlands last night, came back from two goals down to beat world champions Germany 3-2 last week.

Five Spurs players, namely, Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Harry Kane, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose, were called up by England boss Roy Hodgson for the two tough friendly encounters.

The quintet fared well for England in the two games, with Kane and Dier even managing to find the back of the net in the win over Germany.

And Vorm, who has made seven appearances in all competitions for the north London outfit this season, praised the Tottenham contingent’s performance on the international stage.

“I watched the game against Germany and you could see they have so much confidence and I’m sure England will enjoy their talent for the next few years”, he told Spurs TV.

“Harry, Dele, Eric Dier, they’ve all done so well and Danny Rose now, he’s played two games and done well.

"That’s positive for English football and very good for Spurs.”

Tottenham, who are currently a place and five points adrift of Premier League leaders Leicester City, will next face Liverpool in an away league fixture on Saturday.
