I Love Arsenal, I’d Consider Return – Gilberto Silva

Arsenal legend Gilberto Silva admits he would consider an offer to return to the Emirates Stadium in some capacity.

The former Brazil international turned out for the Gunners from 2002 until 2008 and was part of the last Arsenal side to win the Premier League title, in the 2003/04 campaign.

Silva was a popular figure at Arsenal with his committed midfield displays and the north London giants retain a special place in the 39-year-old's heart.

He retired as a player last year and is currently studying general management ahead of a potential move into a sporting director or another off the pitch role.

Asked what he is doing now by Inside Futbol, Silva replied: "I decided to retire last year. I live with my family now and look out for my business and for business opportunities.

"I follow football and I am trying to find a way to be involved. I am studying a course of general management to prepare myself.

"I want to be prepared if I decide to one day return to football as sport director or in another role. That will help me a lot", he added.

And on the subject of a potential return to Arsenal, the Brazilian was enthusiastic about the possibility, while conceding he has not yet received an offer from the Gunners.

Silva also admitted his love affair with the north London club continues to this day.

"You never know, anything can be possible. I haven’t received an invitation at the moment, but if one day I get an invitation I will think carefully, because Arsenal is a team I really love", Silva said.
