West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic has revealed that Diafra Sakho will be out of action for one week with a knee injury.

The striker, who ruled himself out of the weekend’s 3-3 draw with Arsenal in the Premier League with the injury, reportedly walked out of training before the clash with the Gunners.

West Ham co-chairman David Gold denied the incident and explained that Sakho did not feel well and should be back in contention to feature against Manchester United in an FA Cup quarter-final replay tomorrow.

But Bilic insisted that the Senegalese international is suffering from a knee injury, which showed after the forward underwent a scan yesterday.

As a result, Sakho will not play against Manchester United at Upton Park and will not also travel with West Ham for their away Premier League fixture at Leicester City at the weekend.

"The situation with Diafra is very simple”, Bilic said in his pre-match press conference.

“He reported an injury after training on Friday. He was not in the squad.

"Yesterday he had a scan, which showed a little bit of a problem and he will be out for one week."

Sakho, who has struggled with injuries in the present campaign, has scored six goals in 19 appearances in all competitions for West Ham this season.
