Celtic legend Henrik Larsson has insisted that he is currently fully focussed on managing Helsingborgs, with the former striker being linked with the Hoops job.

Earlier in the day, Celtic announced that present boss Ronny Deila will step down from his post after the end of the season.

As a result, a number of managers has been linked with taking the managerial reins at Celtic in the summer; David Moyes, Owen Coyle, Neil Lennon, Larsson and Roy Keane amongst others have all been mooted as Deila’s possible successor.

But Larsson, whose present deal with Helsingborgs runs until the winter of 2017, refused to speculate over a return to Celtic Park in a managerial capacity.

"I'm the manager of Helsingborgs… that's what my focus is on”, he told STV.

"There's no point to me speculating on anything like that – I'm focusing on the Helsinborgs job.

"My contract here is until the winter of 2017."

Celtic, who are close to winning their fifth successive Scottish Premiership title, struggled in cup competitions in both Europe and in Scotland under Deila this season.

The Norwegian’s fate at Celtic was sealed following their loss to Rangers on penalties in the Scottish Cup semi-final at the weekend.
