Liverpool legend Ray Clemence feels Manchester United are favourites to win the FA Cup, following Everton’s 4-0 loss in the Merseyside derby last night.

The Toffees will face the Red Devils on Saturday for a place in the final of the domestic cup competition, with Crystal Palace and Watford being the other two semi-finalists.

Clemence believes the winners of the clash between Manchester United and Everton at Wembley will go on to lift the FA Cup this season.

And the legendary goalkeeper is of the opinion that the Everton players will find it extremely difficult to lift themselves up for the semi-final at the weekend after their demoralising 4-0 loss at the hands of their local rivals Liverpool in the Premier League.

“I think whoever wins on Saturday will win the FA Cup”, he told LFC TV after Liverpool’s 4-0 win over Everton.

“And seeing what I've seen tonight it's going to take a massive amount of effort [for Everton to recover].

“The Everton players will be so low now and only two days to pick themselves up.

“It is Wembley, it is the semi-final, but I think it's going to be very difficult for them.”

While Manchester United, who beat Crystal Palace 2-0 in the league last night, have lost just once in their last eight outings in all competitions, Everton are on a six-game winless streak.
