Juventus are adamant that they won’t sell defender Leonardo Bonucci despite interest from the English duo of Chelsea and Manchester City.

The 28-year-old Italian international has been one of the mainstays of the Juventus side over the last few years and is one of the most important members of Massimiliano Allegri’s squad in Turin.

Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is a big fan of the Italy international, who played a major role in his success as Juventus manager, and he wants to take the defender to west London with him this summer.

It has been suggested that representatives of the English club are trying to make a deal happen in the next few months, but according to Tuttosport, the Bianconeri are adamant that they won’t be selling their top defender.

Bonucci remains key to Juventus’ future plans, and the club are ready to firefight if needed to keep the Italian in Turin, despite strong interest from the Premier League.

Pep Guardiola is also a fan of the defender and wanted to take him to Manchester City, but Juventus’ stance has forced the Citizens and their incoming Spanish manager to look elsewhere.

And the Bianconeri remain confident that they will be able to repeat the trick with Chelsea and Conte to keep Bonucci at the club.

The Italian has made 270 appearances for the club since joining from Bari in 2010, and has 55 international caps to his name for Italy.
