Chelsea are set to rival Liverpool and AC Milan for the signature of much sought after Nice attacking midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa, according to French sports daily L’Equipe.

The 29-year-old, who struggled during his previous stint in England with Newcastle United and Hull City, has been in great form since signing for Nice in January 2015.




Ben Arfa has thus far scored 17 goals and provided four assists in 33 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit in the present campaign.

With his present contract with Nice set to expire in the summer, a number of top European clubs are eyeing roping in the talented Frenchman for free next season.
 


Liverpool and AC Milan have regularly sent scouts to France in recent weeks to watch Ben Arfa in action and, according to French radio station RMC, have sent offers his way. Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid have kept close tabs on him.
