Sergio Ramos admits that there was an offer on the table from Manchester United last summer and he did spend time thinking about potentially moving on from Real Madrid.

Last summer the defender was struggling to agree a new contract with Los Blancos and Manchester United, alive to his situation, were reported to have made a bid to sign him.

And Ramos confirmed that indeed the Red Devils did put an offer on the table, while he was seriously considering his future.

But the Spain international insists that Real Madrid, with whom he eventually penned a new deal, remained his first choice at all times.

"There was an offer in paper [from Manchester United]", Ramos admitted to Spanish radio station Cadena COPE.
