Jack Wilshere says he is desperate to be involved for England at Euro 2016, having made his comeback from injury in Arsenal's 0-0 draw at Sunderland today.

The midfielder, who had been out since pre-season with injury, was named on the bench for Arsenal at the Stadium of Light and boss Arsene Wenger brought him on as a substitute in the 84th minute.

Wilshere is leaving it late to challenge for a spot in Roy Hodgson's England squad, but the midfielder is clear that is what he intends to do.

"Of course I want to go and be involved. I feel I am ready to push for that place", he told the BBC.

"Now I am on the pitch with the first team, we have three more games left so hopefully I can get more minutes", Wilshere added.
