Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that Tottenham Hotspur still have a lot to fight for in the last three games of the season, despite dropping two decisive points against West Brom last night.

Tottenham looked in control in the first half and took the lead when Craig Dawson scored an own goal to hand the advantage to the home side at White Hart Lane, but the Baggies defender made amends for his side when he equalised for West Brom in the 73rd minute to earn a point for Tony Pulis’ side.

Spurs were in desperate need of three points to remain in the title race after Leicester won at the weekend, and after dropping two valuable points last night, Spurs are hoping against hope as the Foxes just need a win from their remaining three games to win the Premier League title.

Pochettino admits that they should have made more of their dominance in the first half and feels his team lost control of the match after the break, which aided West Brom in their bid to stage a comeback.

Speaking to Spurs TV, the Tottenham boss said: “I think we played very well in the first half.

“We created a lot of chances, and the feeling was that in the first half we had spent a lot of energy, but the reward was only 1-0.

“In the second half we lost a little bit of control, which allowed them to believe and we conceded a goal from a set-piece. We are all feeling disappointed, but we need to keeping believing and fighting.”

However, he refused to admit that Tottenham have nothing left to play for and challenged his players to end the season on high note.

“Our objective is to win the league, if not maintain our position in the table. There are still a lot of things to play for.”
