Rennes forward Paul-Georges Ntep is not opposed to remaining with the Ligue 1 side for a further season, although he concedes he will need to see what the club offer him.

Ntep has regularly been linked with Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain, while of late Tottenham Hotspur have also been mooted as contenders for the 23-year-old's signature.

His development this term has been hindered by injuries and Ntep sees the benefits of a further season at Rennes where he could rediscover his fitness and play on a regular basis.

But with his contract expiring in the summer of 2017, it is approaching make or break time for Ntep at Rennes.

"Starting fresh for one season at a club like Rennes, where I know everyone and where I will be in familiar surroundings and get back to 100 per cent, it's a good idea", Ntep told Canal Football Club.

"It depends also on what the offer is and what the club decide, but I hope to still be at Rennes next season."

Rennes have not yet contacted Ntep over a new contract to secure his future at the club and the Ligue 1 outfit may expect offers to flood in for the forward.

Due to injuries Ntep has only managed to make 14 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, scoring two goals and providing his team-mates with three assists.

Rennes currently sit seventh in the Ligue 1 standings.
