Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini thinks Real Madrid are not favourites to progress to the Champions League final, despite his side playing out a goalless draw with the Spanish giants in the semi-final first leg last night.

The Citizens, who are making their first ever Champions League semi-final appearance, failed to find the find the back of the net at the Etihad Stadium.

However, Manchester City also managed to prevent Los Blancos from netting an away goal, and hence, even a draw, barring another goalless stalemate, at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium next week, will help the Premier League outfit to reach the Champions League final.

And Pellegrini feels his side have a good chance of playing the final at the San Siro on 28th May, owing to their positive results away from home in the continental competition this season.

"I don’t think Real are favourites to progress”, the Chilean told the club’s official site.
