Arsenal are in advanced talks to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund, much to Juventus' disappointment, it has been claimed.

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri wanted the former Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder in Turin, but appears set to lose out to Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

Indeed, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Arsenal are well under way on talks with Dortmund over signing Mkhitaryan and are negotiating a €30m deal to take him to the Emirates Stadium.

The transfer could be signed off soon, ending Juventus' hopes of signing the 27-year-old attacking midfielder.

Chelsea have also been mooted as keen on the Armenia international, however it looks likely to be Arsenal who will ensure Mkhitaryan plays his football in the Premier League next season.

The Gunners did not sign a single outfield player in last year's summer transfer window and it appears Wenger is not ready to make the same mistake this year.
