Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is still positive over his side's chances of reaching the Europa League final despite the Reds losing the first leg of their semi-final tie 1-0 in Spain to Villarreal this evening.

Klopp's men looked comfortable throughout the match and appeared set to end the game with a 0-0 draw, something they looked content to take home as the final whistle approached.

But Klopp saw his side, and specifically left-back Alberto Moreno, caught out of position after a late attack, something which let Villarreal in.

And in injury time, Denis Suarez found Adrian Lopez with a low cross, which resulted in a Yellow Submarine goal and a 1-0 advantage to take to Anfield.

Klopp however is not downbeat and believes there is a lot of football still to be played in the tie.

"Of course I'm not too happy with the goal we conceded in the last second. Counter attacking in the 92nd minute makes not much sense but it is only the first leg", Klopp explained on BT Sport.

"It is 1-0 and they have to come to Anfield where we know how strong we are. We had our moments, we defended really good. This race is not over.

"If we had enough players in around the box it was no problem but they played this one chip ball over Kolo [Toure], I don't know where Alberto was in this moment but that was the only big mistake we made in this game and they scored with it", the German explained.

"90 minutes played, 95, we will play at Anfield and that is a different game then."

Klopp is likely to now rest players wholesale at the weekend against Swansea City as Liverpool look to turn around the tie in the second leg.
