Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes Manchester United could finish in the top four in the Premier League this season, but is more worried about his own side securing Champions League football for next term.

At the start of the year Wenger's men were focused on winning the title and remained firmly in the hunt to do so. But the Gunners have dropped off the pace and now find themselves fourth and battling to ensure they do not slip out of the top four.

Wenger's men are level on points with third placed Manchester City, while Louis van Gaal's Manchester United are fifth, five points behind the Gunners, but boasting a game in hand.

The Arsenal boss will not write off Manchester United's chances of a top four finish, but has urged Arsenal to simply focus on doing their own job.

Asked at a press conference this morning whether Manchester United could finish in the top four, Wenger said via his club's site: "It’s possible of course, but that is why I say to you we have to fight and not feel sorry for ourselves, focus on what we can achieve and look back and think we have done well – as well as we could.
