Rangers striker Martyn Waghorn cannot wait for Sunday, when he is expected to make his comeback from injury for the Gers.

Waghorn, who has been prolific in front of goal for Rangers this season, picked up an injury in the seventh minute of the Gers' Scottish Cup replay victory over Kilmarnock in February.

The striker has not featured since, missing his side clinching the Scottish Championship title and also the Challenge Cup. Waghorn was also absent as Rangers beat Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi-final to set up a final against Hibernian.

Waghorn is expected to be back in action this weekend when Rangers play their final game of the season, against St Mirren.

And Waghorn is relishing it, taking to Twitter to post a photograph of himself in training.

Waghorn will be keen to prove his fitness to Rangers boss Mark Warburton as he looks to put himself in contention to feature in the Scottish Cup final against Hibernian, a game which is scheduled for 21st May, meaning a long break before the match for the Gers.
