Arsene Wenger has insisted that Arsenal’s performances have picked up despite their recent indifferent results.

The Gunners, who played out a goalless draw with relegation-threatened Sunderland last weekend, currently find themselves fourth in the standings with 64 points from 35 games.

Although Arsenal are unbeaten in their last seven league outings, the north London outfit have managed to win just three of those.

The Emirates Stadium outfit, who drew 1-1 with 16th-placed Crystal Palace at home earlier in the month, now need to win their remaining three league games in the season to be certain of qualifying for the Champions League next season.

But Wenger explained that he has been pleased with Arsenal’s performances in recent weeks as he went on to add that the dropped points were not due to his side’s lack of quality.

“I would say the quality of our game has come back to a very good level”, he said in a press conference, via his club's site.

“I watch the games every day and you can look at the numbers in the league, the chances created.

“We have gone through a difficult spell, but I think the quality of the game has come back in the last month and a half.

“We have very strong numbers.

"We didn't make the maximum in our home results against the lower-table teams. But we analysed that quite well and we know it's not down to the quality of our game.”

Arsenal will next face Norwich City, who are fighting to avoid relegation, in a home league game tomorrow.
