Martin Keown feels Arsene Wenger is so powerful at Arsenal that only he will decide when his time is up at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal, who stumbled out of the Premier League title race, the Champions League and the FA Cup, all in the opening months of 2016, beat Norwich City 1-0 at home on Saturday to remain firmly in the hunt for a top four spot.

A number of Arsenal fans are now openly unhappy with Wenger's reign and at the match against the Canaries banners were held up calling for the Frenchman to leave.

But Keown thinks that Wenger has so much power at Arsenal that it will be down to him when he exits the club.

The Arsenal legend said on the BBC's Final Score programme: "He needs to pick the right time, as everybody does, to leave the football club.

"And I am sure that it's a decision he is mindful of.

"But he will make it for himself; that's the power he has at that football club", Keown added.

Arsenal currently find themselves sitting in third spot in the Premier League standings with 67 points from 36 games.

Last term Arsenal finished third with 75 points, a total they cannot now reach, even if they win their two remaining matches this season, which come against Manchester City (away) and Aston Villa (home).
