Graham Roberts feels Erik Lamela has finally managed to “become a man” at Tottenham Hotspur, with the Spurs legend going on to hail the Argentine’s performances in the present campaign.

Lamela, who provided the assist for Harry Kane’s opener in the 2-2 draw with Chelsea last night, joined the club from Roma in 2013.

The winger initially failed to make his mark at White Hart Lane, but his game considerably improved since Mauricio Pochettino took charge of the club in 2014.

Lamela is enjoying his breakthrough season at Tottenham, with the 24-year-old scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists in 42 appearances in all competitions.

And Roberts, who has been pleased in the manner in which Lamela has set up goals for his team-mates this term, also lauded the former Roma player’s efforts on the pitch.
