Tottenham Hotspur winger Nacer Chadli has explained that he is proud of his side’s season, following their 2-2 draw against Chelsea on Monday night.

Spurs, who needed to beat Chelsea to have any chance of winning the Premier League, failed to come out with the full three points from Stamford Bridge despite going into the half-time break 2-0 up.

As a result, Leicester City were crowned the Premier League champions with two games to spare.

Despite failing to secure the league title, Tottenham have been a very consistent unit in the present campaign.

Mauricio Pochettino’s team have lost just four league games this season, the second lowest in the division behind champions Leicester; the north London outfit also have the best defensive record in the Premier League.

And Chadli, who congratulated the Foxes for winning the Premier League, insisted that his side fought hard for the title.

“I want to congratulate Leicester on winning the title”, he tweeted.

“We've fought hard for it and I'm proud of our season.”

Tottenham, who remain second in the standings, will next face Southampton on Sunday.
