Leicester City loanee Andrej Kramaric has explained that he is delighted and proud to have played for the Foxes, who secured the Premier League title last night.

With second-placed Tottenham Hotspur drawing 2-2 at Chelsea, Leicester were crowned the Premier League champions with two games to go.

Kramaric joined Leicester from Croatian outfit Rijeka in January 2015, but failed to make his mark at the King Power Stadium.

As a result, the striker was loaned out to Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim on a loan deal until the end of the season during the winter transfer window.

And Kramaric, who scored one goal in five appearances in all competitions for the new Premier League champions this season, feels the amazing atmosphere within the Leicester squad played a big role in the club’s success.

He also feels he can count himself as having been part of an historic achievement.

"I am delighted and very proud to have been [and still be] a Leicester player”, he told Italian outlet Tutto Mercato.

“I am happy to have been a part of one of the best teams I've ever played in, not only technically but also in terms of friendship.

“It is amazing to breathe in the great atmosphere in the squad. Everything was built for success."

Kramaric, whose present contract with Leicester runs until 2018, has thus far scored five goals and provided four assists in 13 Bundesliga games for Hoffenheim.

The 24-year-old also has nine caps and three goals for Croatia to his name.

Should he return to the King Power Stadium in the summer, he will have the chance to play Champions League football next term.
