Danny Wilson feels Rangers winning a treble this season would still be a superb achievement even if it is not "the" treble.

The Gers have won the Scottish Championship title and the Scottish Challenge Cup already this term, while they can make it a treble of trophies by winning the Scottish Cup later this month; they are set to meet Hibernian on 21st May.

Wilson believes winning the treble would be a big achievement, even if it is not the traditional treble, which is the Scottish Premiership title, the Scottish Cup and the Scottish League Cup.

Success in the Scottish Cup final would also put Rangers back into Europe.

"Hibs have been a good team this year, but so have we, and we go into the game full of confidence and it’s a chance for us to win a treble", the defender told the official Rangers podcast.

"It’s maybe not ‘the treble’ but it is a treble of sorts for us.

"It’s something we set out to do at the start of the season so we need to make sure we go and finish the job", Wilson added.

Wilson has been a key man for Rangers this season and barring injury is likely to take his spot in the heart of defence at Hampden against Hibernian later this month.

Rangers will be without cup-tied pair Michael O'Halloran and Billy King in the final, while Dominic Ball is suspended.
