Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini and Leicester City defender Robert Huth have both been charged by the English Football Association with violent conduct.

The charge relates to an incident in Sunday's Premier League fixture between the two sides which was not spotted by the match officials. However, it was seen on video and as such the FA has chosen to take retrospective action.

The FA has given the pair until 6pm tomorrow to respond to the charge.

The incident took place in the 21st minute of the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford and saw Fellaini appearing to direct an elbow at Huth after the German defender had pulled the Belgian's hair.

The pair would be likely to receive a three-match ban if they are found guilty of violent conduct, something which would end Huth's season, while Fellaini would miss Manchester United's final three league games.

However, the Belgian would be back in time for Manchester United's FA Cup final fixture against Crystal Palace.

Leicester won the Premier League title last night when Tottenham Hotspur could only draw away at Chelsea.

Manchester United meanwhile are continuing to fight for a top four finish.
