Inter Milan are set to rival Manchester United for the signature of Bologna starlet Amadou Diawara, according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport.
The defensive midfielder, who joined Bologna from San Marino Calcio last summer, has featured heavily for the Serie A outfit in the present campaign.
Diawara has thus far made 34 appearances in all competitions for Bologna and has already aroused the interest of a number of clubs, including Manchester United, who recently scouted him.
The midfielder has also been linked with Manchester City, West Ham and Chelsea.
But Inter have barged into the race for the highly-rated midfield enforcer, who is rated between €12m and €15m.

Diawara, whose present contract with Bologna runs until 2020, has provided one assist this season, but is yet to find the back of the net for his present employers, who are currently 14th in the Serie A table.
