Rangers striker Kenny Miller wants to see Mark Warburton to continue managing the club for a lengthy period of time in the future, however he feels the former Brentford boss will be continually linked with big English clubs.

The Englishman has managed to steer Rangers to a Scottish Championship title and in turn promotion to the top tier in his first season at the club.

He has also won the Challenge Cup and could win his third trophy this term when the Gers take on Hibernian in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden Park later this month.

Warburton has been linked with a move away from Rangers in recent weeks, with a number of clubs speculated to be eying him and while he has squashed the exit talk, the rumours still persist.

Miller is hopeful that Warburton will continue at Ibrox as he is aware of the long term goals of the club and is confident that the Englishman will want to be part of the Rangers story for a long time in the future.

“We certainly hope the manager stays here”, Miller was quoted as saying by the Herald Scotland.

"None of the lads can speak highly enough of the him and Davie [David Weir] and the atmosphere they have created.

"There is no doubt he is going to be linked with big jobs in England because he has done a fantastic job here.

“It is not just the success we have had but it is the way we have all gone about our jobs.

"We hope he will be here for a long, long time. He knows the size of this club, what the goals are for next season and there is no doubt he wants to be a part of it.

“When other teams come calling then he will have a decision to make but we are hopeful he will stay here.”
