Steve Evans has revealed that getting the Leeds United job last year was one of the greatest moments of his career.

The Scot left Rotherham just after the start of the season due to differences with the club hierarchy and took the reins of Leeds in October after Uwe Rosler was shown the door when the Whites were close to the relegation zone.

The Leeds boss has managed to steer the club away from the relegation dogfight and the club could finish as high as eleventh in the league if they get a win on Saturday at Preston North End.

Evans is not certain to keep his job at Elland Road, but admits that getting the Leeds manager’s post last year was one of the greatest moments of his career as he never expected to land such a huge break.

When asked about his favourite moment as Leeds boss, the Scot told LUTV: “My single best moment was when I was told that I have the job.
