Roma are keen to snap up Manchester United target Amadou Diawara, according to Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

The 18-year-old, who currently plays for Bologna, joined the Serie A outfit from San Marino Calcio last summer.

Diawara has featured heavily for Bologna this season, making 34 appearances in all competitions, and his impressive displays have caught the attention of several clubs including Manchester United, Manchester City, West Ham, Juventus, Inter Milan and Chelsea.

The Red Devils even sent a scout to Italy recently to watch the defensive midfielder in action.

However, it seems Roma are the latest club to express interest in Diawara, who is rated between €12m and €15m.

Diawara, whose present contract with Bologna runs until 2020, was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea during the winter transfer window.

The Blues even held meetings with the player’s representatives to work out a proposed move, but the starlet stayed put at Bologna.
