Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier believes that this season is just the beginning of good things for his team and with title chasing experience under their belt they will look to achieve more next term.

The Lilywhites, who saw their hopes of winning their first Premier League title dashed after a 2-2 draw against Chelsea earlier this week, are now looking to hold on to second spot over the course of the remaining two league games.

With a top four spot already guaranteed, the north Londoners are in need of just one point from the last two games in order to secure a top three spot, their best since 1989/90.

For Dier, it is just the beginning of good times at White Hart Lane and the fruitful experience they have had over the course of the 2015/16 season will stand them in good stead for next season.

“This is only the beginning for this group of players”, Dier told his club's official website.

“It’s the first season we’ve all been together and to see what we’ve done is fantastic.

“But there is a lot more to come from this team. It’s a young squad and we will learn from a lot of experiences this season.

"That’s what we have to do, learn from this season, take those lessons into next season and try to do better. I think we will definitely improve next season.”
