Everton are keeping a close track of Club Brugge’s Bjorn Engels, although the Premier League club are yet to make a bid for the defender, according to Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws.

The 21-year-old, who is a product of Club Brugge’s youth system, has been part of the Belgian outfit’s first team since the 2011/12 campaign.

Engels missed a considerable part of the present campaign with a knee injury, but the centre-back has been in fine form for his employers since returning to action in December.

The youngster has thus far made 19 appearances in all competitions this term, scoring twice and providing three assists, in addition to providing stability to Club Brugge’s defence.

Engels' positive displays have aroused the interest of Everton, who have sent scouts to Belgium to watch the starlet in action several times this season; however, the Toffees are still to make an offer for the player.
