Liverpool and Juventus linked Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi admits that he will assess his options at the end of the season.

The 24-year-old defender’s future at the Mestalla has been the talk of the town in recent weeks as Liverpool and Juventus are reportedly interested in signing the German during the summer transfer window.

Valencia remain keen to keep the player at the club, but have reportedly taken the pragmatic step of identifying a potential replacement; they are said to be keeping a close watch on Atalanta defender Rafael Toloi.

The defender has stressed that he feels settled at Valencia, but refused to rule out a move away from the club in the near future.

He added that he will assess all his options at the end of the season before taking a decision on his future at Los Che.

Mustafi was quoted as saying by FcInterNews: “I have a contract here and get on very well [with everyone].

“But the offers are always there and in football you never know what will happen, as anything can happen.

“However, I will assess at the end of the season.”

A former Everton player, the defender joined Valencia from Sampdoria in 2014, and has made 79 appearances for the club.
