Patrick Roberts insists that he will do his best to impress the new manager at Celtic next season.

The 19-year-old, who joined Manchester City from Fulham last summer, was snapped up by outgoing Hoops boss Ronny Deila on a one-and-a-half-year loan deal during the January transfer window.

But last month Deila announced that he will step down his post as Celtic manager after the end of the present campaign.

As a result, several managers such as David Moyes, Brendan Rodgers, Roy Keane, Owen Coyle and Neil Lennon have been mooted as contenders to replace the Norwegian at Celtic Park.

However, Roberts explained that he is confident about impressing Celtic’s new boss, having experienced as many as four managerial changes during his time at Fulham.

"I've had new managers when I was at Fulham, I think I had four so new managers come and go. It's part and parcel of football”, he was quoted as saying by STV.

"My priority is always to impress the manager so whoever I have to impress then I'll try to do so. If you can make a good first impression it can be good.

"A manager comes in and they have players they like or bring in their own so if you're already here you have to make sure they like you."

Roberts, who was named Premiership Player of the Month for April, has thus far scored three goals and provided an assist in 10 appearances in all competitions for the Scottish giants.

Ironically, Manuel Pellegrini, who signed him from Fulham, will also be replaced at the end of the season, with Pep Guardiola set to take the managerial reins of Manchester City in the summer.
