Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini thinks Radja Nainggolan will not quit the club in the summer, amidst interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.

The Belgium international’s future has been a subject of speculation in recent weeks, with Chelsea even opening talks with Roma over a proposed move for the midfielder.

But it seems the discussions stalled after the clubs failed to agree upon a transfer fee for Nainggolan, who was reportedly spotted chatting with incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte on Wednesday night.

However, Sabatini insists Nainggolan wants to stay at Roma as he backed the 28-year-old to remain at Stadio Olimpico beyond the end of the season.

“Nainggolan? I don’t think he’ll leave because he wants to stay at Roma”, he was quoted as saying by Italian daily Corriere dello Sport.
