Claudio Ranieri has called sought-after Rennes winger Ousmane Dembele to present his project at Leicester City, according to French sports daily L’Equipe.

The 18-year-old, who has scored 12 goals and provided five assists in 28 appearances in all competitions this season, has attracted the interest of several top European clubs such as Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund.

PSG even held talks with Dembele’s representatives, but are yet to submit an offer, while Dortmund have already seen their initial bid for the youngster being knocked back by Rennes.

However, it seems Leicester are the latest entrants in the race for Dembele, with Ranieri having contacted the player to talk about his project with the newly-crowned Premier League champions.

But Dembele, who is contracted with the club until 2018, has not ruled out the possibility of staying at Rennes beyond the end of the season.
